WRMF’s Kevin Rolston Named First Recipient of the Scott Shannon Award
Hubbard Radio South Florida is proud to announce Kevin Rolston of WRMF as the inaugural recipient of the Scott Shannon Award—an honor recognizing exceptional talent, work ethic, creativity, and results in radio.
A driving force behind the highly successful KVJ Show, Rolston—alongside co-hosts J-Bird and Virginia—has built a deep connection with listeners while delivering strong ratings and revenue impact for Hubbard West Palm Beach. The show’s influence extends beyond the airwaves, earning a Top 3 finish in the Hot AC category of Barrett Media’s 2025 rankings.
Rolston was personally selected by Scott Shannon, who praised his dedication, versatility, and hands-on approach to production and show prep, calling him “one of the best in the country right now.”
Rolston will travel to New York City to accept the award from Shannon, marking a full-circle moment in his career—from college intern inspired by Shannon to the first-ever honoree of the award bearing his name.
