Hubbard South Florida Welcomes Leadership GROW
Hubbard Radio South Florida was honored to host the radio portion of Youth Media Day for Leadership GROW. Fifty of Palm Beach County’s brightest & best high school juniors joined us for an educational tour of the radio stations and an overview of the business of radio. While they were here they met with the on-air personalities, program directors, engineers, production directors, business/sales managers, and promotions & marketing directors.
The Leadership GROW program is a transformational initiative that empowers high school juniors to comprehend the critical issues facing Palm Beach County while encouraging them to expand their leadership roles and cultivate a foundation of community involvement. Guided by a dedicated team of Leadership Palm Beach County alumni, students spend nine months gaining real-life experience by having unparalleled access to leaders from various sectors, including businesses, government agencies, and civic organizations. The program is designed to nurture students’ interaction, learning, and self-reflection as future community leaders. It equips them with essential skills, such as public speaking and resume writing, to prepare for their future education and employment.
