Hubbard South Florida Re-Ups The KVJ Show for WRMF Mornings

Hubbard Radio South Florida announced today that it has re-signed The KVJ Show, extending its long-standing partnership with South Florida’s #1 morning program. The show will continue to air weekday mornings on 97.9 WRMF, maintaining its leadership as the top-rated morning drive show in the market.

The KVJ Show—featuring Kevin Rolston, Virginia Sinicki, and Jason “J-Bird” Pennington (KVJ)—has built one of the most loyal and engaged audiences in South Florida radio. Known for its dynamic on-air chemistry, innovative content, and strong community connection, the show remains a cornerstone of WRMF’s continued success.

Kevin, Virginia, and Jason have created something truly special—an authentic, evolving show that resonates across generations. It’s a testament to the team’s consistency, creativity, and deep connection with the South Florida community.  This new agreement is a true celebration of everything the KVJ Show has built and continues to deliver day in and day out. I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead as we continue to grow,” says David Adams, Brand & Content Director, WRMF.

“We couldn’t be more excited to continue our partnership with The KVJ Show on WRMF,” said Elizabeth Hamma, Market President, Hubbard South Florida. “Renewing KVJ is a lot like tuning in—unpredictable, wildly entertaining, and never dull. Kevin, Virginia, and Jason have created a show people don’t just listen to—they depend on it. And somehow, they still keep us laughing, guessing, and occasionally side-eyeing our coffee.”

Consistently ranked as the #1 morning show in South Florida, The KVJ Show delivers standout ratings performance while expanding its reach across digital platforms, podcasting, social media, and live events. The show’s influence extends beyond entertainment, with a strong emphasis on community initiatives and charitable efforts that have made a meaningful local impact.

“KVJ has had an amazing 27 years in South Florida, the last 12 at WRMF, but our last few years with Hubbard have been our favorite,” says Kevin Rolston.  “KVJ has always been family but so has Hubbard. They understand that when you can connect with your talent, that you will then connect with your community. This philosophy has served them well for the last 100 years and we are thrilled to be a part of their continued success for years to come. Thanks to Ginny Hubbard, Greg Strassell and Market President Elizabeth Hamma, who has always believed in us.”

“We will never take for granted how blessed we are to be in this position,” said Virginia Sinicki. “We work for the best company, and we work alongside the best people…. And now Kevin and Jason get to look at my beautiful face for many years ahead, those two are truly the lucky ones.”

“I feel very grateful that I get to do several more years of radio with my friends,” say Jason Pennington. “Here’s to years of talking about the topics that truly matter—like, are aliens already here, and does pineapple really belong on pizza?—I feel deeply blessed!”

Listeners can tune in to The KVJ Show weekday mornings on 97.9 WRMF or stream live via the WRMF app and at WRMF.com.
